Dai Zhiwei, a third-year doctoral student in EEIS, was awarded the MOC Paper Award at the MOC2024 international conference.
Short explanation about the award
The MOC2024 Paper Award was presented at The 29th MICROOPTICS CONFERENCE (MOC2024), held from September 29 to October 2, 2024, in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, recognizing researchers for their outstanding presentations.
About awarded research(activity)
Presentation Title: "Unidirectional lasing in a ring resonator with an S-shaped waveguide"
Authors: Z. Dai, W. Lin, S. Ji, H. Sakumoto, M. Takenaka, and S. Iwamoto
This research achieved high-contrast unidirectional lasing in a ring resonator with an S-shaped waveguide. Additionally, unidirectional lasing was observed in ring resonators with surface gratings, suggesting the potential to generate topological light beams, such as optical skyrmions.
Your impression & future plan
